I often ask myself, "What was that one thing, that one decision, that lead you to where you are today?" For me that was starting my blog. It was a personal passion project, rather than a mission to grow my website. But I would have never known that after creating a website that was my slice of the internet, it would lead to some of the most important opportunities in my life. It lead me to establishing my joy in journalism and photography, lead me to one of the best work experiences ever as a blogger for my university, which lead to my going to VidCon, working with Buffer Festival, studying in The Netherlands, contributing to Chapter Friday, etc. Beyond the opportunities, it connected me to so many like-minded individuals and people that hold a special place in my heart.
Today, I'm celebrating my 5 year anniversary of my blog.
I'm also spending a lot of time deciding what to do from here and how my blog will transform in the following years. I'm in a place where I can seriously take on my blog or transform it into a portfolio, or both? Who knows but one thing that is for sure is that I will keep blogging.
